Pines Alternative School has been part of SMµ÷½ÌÉçÇø Public’s Alternative Programs for more than fifteen years. 

Piines Alternative School provides full and part-time learning programs (online, in-person and blended) for SMµ÷½ÌÉçÇø students in Grades 9 to 12. We also offer various opportunities to complete individual courses and upgrade, both during the school year and through summer school.

Full-time online learning for Grades 9 to 12: For students who want to learn online for the full school year in the regular program. 

Returning Grade 12 students or Adult learners: North Cottage school is designated for fourth-year high school students/adults wanting to take some extra courses online during the school year.  If you have questions about upgrading please call North Cottage at 403-342-2170

Grade 10-12 Concurrent Courses: For senior high students at an in-person RDPSD school who want to take some additional courses online during the school year. Concurrent students wishing to register in a concurrent course need to meet with their Vice Principal.

Summer School: For RDPSD senior high students who want to take an additional course in July. 

Upgrading and Mature Students: For other opportunities to upgrade or graduate, beyond those above. Call us at our North Cottage location 403-342-2170
