Below is a list of opportunities that exist for students.  Information on these and many other opportunities are available in the Career Centre.

• - combines exciting and unique travel programs with world-class high-school faculty to foster profound learning in an immersive international environment.  Over 20 exciting and unique experiences across 30 countries available to students in March Break and Summer International Community Service Programs.  Financial Aid is available, but deadlines apply. 
• - a free program for youth ages 18 to 30, offering barrier-free outdoor adventure, immersive field learning. and the opportunity to develop meaningful conservation projects. Put your gap semester to good use as you learn, grow and travel as part of the Canadian Conservation Corps.
• - Five-Week French-Language Bursary Program
• - for any high school students 15 to 19 years of age.
• - a summer program for students in grades 10 - 12
• - current grade 11 SMµ÷½ÌÉçÇø students may apply to U of A or U of C having an average of 85% in Math and Science courses.
• - graduating grade 12 students who plan to attend a post-secondary institution in the National Capital Region.
• - Students between 16 - 18 years of age can apply to be part of a camp-based crew (48 spots available), an Aboriginal community crew (six participating communities), or a Métis camp-based crew (eight spots available) in a paid position (typically a salary of $2000 - $3200) over the summer as a Junior Forest Ranger with Alberta Agriculture and Forestry. 
• -  Offers young adults opportunities to gain life skills and work experience while contributing to community development through volunteerism. 
• -  High school students have the opportunity to share input and perspectives on provincial programs and initiatives on a number of education topics. During the school year, the council attends 3 meetings during the 10-month term.  
• - promoting diversity in STEAM with an emphasis on technology. The award is open to grade 9-12 students who self-identifies as women, genderqueer, or non-binary for their computing-related achievements and interests.  
• - the goal is to provide students with the opportunity to live and work in developing countries in a way that is both convenient and safe for the students and positive for the countries themselves. This organization sends volunteers ages 16 and up to 29 countries to do over 150 different unpaid internships and service projects for as little as 2 weeks or up to a year.  They provide meaningful work, overseas support, and a flexible timeline.
• - 15-19 years of age, short-term or long-term exchanges, and other Rotary Leadership Opportunities
• - Canada’s STEAM & Entrepreneurship Program. Open to students completing Grade 10 or 11 with a strong academic foundation, are natural go-getters, curious about the world, community-minded, creative, and engaged. 
• - Admission to the virtual fair is FREE!  Pre-registration and all the details are on the Study and Go Abroad website!! 
• - A fully funded week-long educational program in Belgium and France to study Canada's tremendous First World War contribution.  Applicants aged 14 to 17  who demonstrate a commitment to volunteer work through outstanding service, notable deeds, and bravery.                       
• - If you are a Grade 11 student who would like to explore careers in science, engineering, and technology, you are invited to consider the WISEST Summer Research Program.  A six-week paid position. This research experience at the University of Alberta is designed to encourage you to look beyond the traditional career roles of your gender in the faculties of engineering, science, nursing, human ecology, and nutrition.
• - Schulich School of Engineering at the University of Calgary is offering a free event to introduce grade 10 and 11 girls, and other under-represented groups, to the exciting world of engineering.  
• - SET Conference - The 1-day conference is a chance to learn what education and career in science, engineering, and technology are all about.
